From 2010-2018, prior to becoming a founding agent of Compass, Yvonne was the Principal Broker and Owner of Home Shoppe Hawaii LLC, a boutique real estate brokerage in Kailua, Oahu. Yvonne also associated with both large national luxury real estate, local independent, and small boutique real estate brokerages, in Kahala, Honolulu, and Hawaii Kai (Honolulu), where she was a Top Producer, and earned performance awards, such as Rookie of the Year and Top Salesperson. Yvonne is also a licensed attorney in Hawaii (2010), California (1990) and Arizona (1991). She had a sucessful legal career in San Francisco prior to moving to Hawaii in 2004.*
Yvonne Ahearn is a 2015, 2011 and 2010 Winner of the Aloha Aina “People’s Choice” Award for the island of Oahu. She was also nominated for this Award in the years 2012-2020. PAST EXPERIENCE
Yvonne’s background includes a full-time legal career beginning in 1990 and ending in 2004 as VP, Senior Counsel & Manager, for the Regulation & Technology Section of Wells Fargo Bank Law Department in San Francisco. There, she handled high-risk and high value operational transactions, as high as $250M in value. She also held senior in-house counsel positions with two Internet start-ups, a senior Internet consulting position with EDS, and also, for more than 6 years, she served as Deputy Assistant Counsel for the State Bar of California, the ethics and regulatory agency for California attorneys.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Having grown up in Arizona and San Diego, and spending her early adult years in San Francisco, Portland, OR and Maui, Yvonne intimately understands West Coast living and the transition to living in Hawaii. Yvonne is also a recent breast cancer survivor and proud military spouse, married to a USMC Officer from Boston, MA, who has served in both Iraq and in Afghanistan. Notably, she managed a successful real estate sales and property management office, and accomplished a personal upward trend in real estate sales, during these very challenging times. She and her husband have a delightful son, and are also involved in many of his activities. In her spare time, she is involved in various non-profits. She also was the Junior League of Honolulu’s Outstanding New Member 2007-2008.
