This is a nice look at what was once the small town of Kailua and which now has a population of over 40,000 people. It shows Kailua businesses, Kailua homes and local families at play on Kailua Beach. The most recognizable part, other than the beach was the drive into Kailua Town. Also, there was some footage of Kainehe street which turns into Hamakua and you can recognize the Kimo’s Surf Hut building on the right, as well as the plantation style building on the other side of the road at Kailua Rd and Hamakua Road, ahead and to the left.
