Honolulu Real Estate | Kapahulu Home with Ocean Views SOLD: $706,500 FS

Home Shoppe Hawaii is pleased to have recently helped our Buyers purchase a Honolulu Home at 3518 McCorriston Street in the Kapahulu neighborhood of Diamond Head.  This was a private sale of an unlisted Honolulu property that Home Shoppe Hawaii arranged on behalf of our clients. Because this Kapahulu home was not listed, Home Shoppe Hawaii managed both sides of the transaction, though we represented only the Buyers on the transaction. Having no listing agent resulted in significant savings to my Buyers in their purchase.  It also enabled my Buyers to purchase this home without having outside competition. Due to the low inventory we are experiencing on Oahu, most single family properties in the Diamond Head area of Honolulu receive multiple offers.

This Kapahulu home, in the Diamond Head region of Honolulu, was built in the 1930s and had some of the traditional details of homes of this period. Unfortunately, there had been a lot of deferred maintenance and the home was in average to fair condition. The location is great, however, just a short walk to Monsarrat Ave and Kapiolani Park, as well as Waikiki Beach. The second story of this home featured ocean and Diamond Head views, which was exactly what my clients desired.

Purchasing homes in a Sellers’ market requires unique strategies to help Buyers find the home of their dreams. Home Shoppe Hawaii thinks outside of the box to help secure the home you want and frequently has access to unlisted homes. Contact Home Shoppe Hawaii at 808-721-8088 to hear how we can help you find a great Honolulu home.

The Diamond Head Estate of Doris Duke | Honolulu Real Estate

A few days ago, I visited the home of Doris Duke (1912-1993) who was, at one time, one of the wealthiest women in the world. Doris Duke first visited Hawaii (along with various Muslim countries) on her honeymoon in 1935 and like many others, fell in love with our wonderful islands and decided to stay, at least seasonally.

Diamond Head Oahu Luxury Home with Detailing of a Historic Hawaii Home

This is a fabulous, luxury Diamond Head home, built in 2007, with beautiful features at every turn. This Honolulu real estate on Noela Drive in one of Honolulu’s best neighborhoods is one of the most gorgeous homes I have ever seen on Oahu. I first visited this Diamond Head home when it was newly built and listed for sale in July of 2007. It was impressive then, and it is impressive now.  Only now, it is listed at a more attractive price of $9,000,000 versus the $11,900,000 price tag it originally had. I am told that the new price does not even cover the land and construction costs.

This Diamond Head home is ideally located: close to the beach, shopping and more, yet is a private Oasis. This 9,770 square foot Oahu luxury home sits on a huge tropically landscaped 28,962 square foot lot, featuring stunning views of the ocean and Waikiki coastline, including Kapiolani Park.  It has a wide front porch, bringing back the gracious feeling of Hawaii in days gone by, 5 spacious bedrooms and 7 and 1/2 bathrooms, multiple dining areas, a media room, and an elevator, among its many features. The exterior has period details and a marked, very charming craftsman bungalow historic style … in an updated sense, of course, as most real craftsman bungalows are not this large. Nor would they have so many splendid modern features. It is the best of both worlds with both the historic Oahu home style and new construction. Take a look ….
