Kailua Estates is one of the older, but still very desirable, Kailua neighborhoods, with original Kailua homes for sale circa 1940’s-1960’s, walking distance from the beach. It is in the area between Kailua Road (the odd-numbered 200-300 blocks) and the Enchanted Lake Canal (Kaelepulu Stream) that leads to Kailua Beach, which is bordered by Kawailoa, makai. The Kailua Estates neighborhood continues mauka from the Kalapawai Market, across Wana’ao Road, just South of the Mormon Church and into an area of Enchanted Lakes Estates.

Kailua Estates homes vary in price and size, ranging from about $900K for a tear down to $2M, or more for one of the most remodeled and closer to the water Kailua homes for sale. Most Kailua homes for sale in Kailua Estates are in the $1.2 to $1.7 range. Some homes in Kailua Estates are on very large 12,000+ square foot lots which adds quite a bit to the value, even of homes in need of an remodel.  In the center of the Kailua Estates is area is a park with a playground that Kailua residents call Triangle Park.
